It is ok to question the way things are done. This reminds me of a family’s tradition when making meatloaf. For generations the family cut the end off of the meatloaf before putting it on the serving tray. One day the great granddaughter asked “Why?” and received the reply “That’s how we have always done it” from both her mother and grandmother. She then approached the great grandmother who replied, “I never had a serving plate big enough to fit the whole meatloaf.” Be courageous enough to ask “why?”
