I once had a friend share with me that the opposite of love is not hate but judgment. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. When we hold a judgment about another person, it is not possible to allow love to flow at the same time. We can however shift our mind in any moment. Holding a person in a space of love when their choices don’t match ours can be difficult, but not impossible. It is not an outward expression of love that matters, but what’s on the inside.
