Be careful with sarcasm my friends. Did you know that the word sarcasm is derived from the Greek word “sarcazo” which literally means “to tear flesh” and that children under the age of 10 are developmentally incapable of understanding it? So often we turn to sarcasm as a defense mechanism or “all in good fun,” but words have impact. Even with the truest intention of fun, someone could be hurt. Use mindful words and kindness.
