The power in assertiveness

For many years I was afraid of conflict. As a young girl I learned that conflict was rage and I would always get hurt. What I’ve learned about conflict is that it is a muscle of assertiveness, not anger. It is about expressing what I’m feeling about something happening in my life. It is the opportunity to give myself a voice and own my power. I still get nervous from time to time but today I know I’m worth it!
