I once read that stones become smooth because their rough edges rub against the rough edges of other stones. This can be said of our relationships as well. Disagreement, misunderstanding, disappointment and many other “rough edges” can be transformative in our personal development. How we perceive, respond and process the experience is what will determine our smoothness.
