This morning I was thinking back to a week in December 1994. I was in the middle of a difficult divorce, I was readying our house to sell it, I experienced two flat tires on two separate vehicles and a complete car malfunction that left me stranded, and I arrived home to a water heater that had the bottom rusted out which resulted in a flooded basement. I remember thinking “What next?” … It was then that the gift of my sense of humor kicked in. In my quiet home by myself I laughed and laughed and laughed. What life dealt me in that seven day period was so ridiculous that laughter was my best medicine. Finding humor in the craziness of life can make all the difference in the world. How does life tickle your funny bone?
