I had a great conversation with a friend yesterday about an awareness I’ve had over the last year surrounding the word “struggle.” In my past I have used the word “struggle” any time that I was in the middle of a personal growth spurt. What I came to understand is that my definition of the word very much kept me in the mindset of a victim who found it very difficult to navigate life. Nothing could be further from the truth. Life can be easy when we make up our minds for it to be easy. The next time you are tempted to use the word “struggle” replace it with “opportunity.” By doing so, you have an opportunity to change your perception, your behavior or your action to something that serves you better and it can be done in an easy, joyful way.
